Hemp industry Dynamic LEDs Light spectrum control Sustainability Adaptability

Innovagro, a pioneering force in the hemp industry, takes a bold leap forward by partnering with Sollum® Technologies to revolutionize cultivation practices. Transitioning from traditional high-pressure sodium (HPS) and metal halide (MH) fixtures, Innovagro embraces dynamic LED lighting solutions to enhance crop quality and sustainability. Located in Sainte-Sophie, Québec, Innovagro exemplifies versatility, serving sectors such as skincare, cosmetics, and healing, all while upholding principles of ethical production and environmental stewardship. The shift to Sollum’s LED fixtures reflects Innovagro’s commitment to innovation, empowering growers with precise control over light spectrum and intensity. Bruno Fettweis, CEO of Innovagro, highlights the significance of this transition, emphasizing how Sollum’s solutions optimize crop health and productivity throughout growth stages. This partnership heralds a new era of sustainable hemp cultivation, positioning Innovagro at the forefront of agricultural innovation

Sollum’s Breakthrough in the Hemp Industry

Sollum® has now been chosen by Innovagro, their first client in the hemp industry, after recently gaining its first customer. Innovagro has decided to switch from more traditional high-pressure sodium (H P S) and metal halide (MH) fixtures to dynamic LEDs in order to better control light spectrum and intensity. This decision was made in response to similar challenges and pressures as experienced in cannabis production.

Innovagro is a testament to the adaptability and variety of uses for hemp products, with customers in the skin care, cosmetics, and healing industries. Innovagro’s greenhouses, which are based in Sainte- Sophie, Québec ( Canada ), boast high-performance technology while adhering to the principles of sustainability and ethical production. In this situation, it makes perfect sense to switch from the company’s recent use of HPS and MH fixtures, which have significant limitations, to Sollum, a thoroughly powerful grow light solution.

Enhanced Light Control for more control of the various growth stages

According to Bruno Fettweis, CEO of Innovagro “Our growers are up to date with the most recent research and developments in the hemp sector, so we know that switching to a powerful Lead lighting solution will allow us to better control the quality of our product. Sollum’s fixtures enable us to use a variety of light recipes and precisely alter the spectrum and intensity of our greenhouse lights over time.” This level of control is not possible with our latest lighting system, but it enables us to better match the needs of our crops at various growth stages.

According to Sam Soltaninejad, Chief Horticultural Specialist at Sollum Technologies, hemp is one of the most important crops because it is used in so many different industries, including clothing, paper, and food. Similar to this, Sollum provides a adaptable lighting solution that uses various light recipes and powerful spectral compensation to adapt to various growth objectives. ” We are overjoyed that Innovagro is aware of all the advantages our solution offers.”
