The American tech giant Cisco is the month’s star, as it confirmed its$ 28 billion acquisition of Splunk, a company that is frequently used to manage cyber operations.

After being rumored to be buying Atos cybersecurity unit, Airbus decided to abandon the deal and instead purchased German cybersecurity provider Infodas.

CrowdStrike to acquire Flow Security for an Israeli company

CrowdStrike, a US cybersecurity company, announced on March 5 that it has agreed to buy Flow Security, an Israeli-based company that provides a platform for Data Security Posture Management ( DSPM). The agreement will enable CrowdStrike to diversify its portfolio of cloud security options. The deal’s economic details were not disclosed.

Vade Joins Hornetsecurity to Form German Cyber Leader

French email security provider Vade ( formerly known as Vade Secure ) has agreed to join Hornetsecurity, a European- based cloud security and compliance SaaS provider, for an undisclosed fee. The agreement was made public on March 5.

Compatriot Gem is purchased by Israeli Cyber Rising Star Wiz for $350 million.

On March 13, many media reports that the Israeli cloud security company Wiz, one of the fastest-growing new start-ups in the cyberspace, will buy Gem Security, another Israeli cybersecurity firm. Wiz will be paying$ 350 million in cash, according to sources close to the deal. All of Gem Security’s 70 employees in Israel and the US will join Wiz.

Zscaler Purchases Israel-Based Avalor for $350 million

Zscaler, a US cloud security company, announced on March 14 that it is acquiring Avalor, an early-stage Israeli start-up that provides security analytics and risk management services. The deal, which will cost Zscaler$ 350m, occurred just 26 months after Avalor was founded.

Cisco Completes $28bn Acquisition of Splunk

Another US large, Cisco, completed on March 18 its$ 28bn acquisition of Splunk, a machine- data analytics platform provider whose products are commonly used for managing cyber operations. The agreement was made public for the first time in September 2023.

Intrinsic ID Joins Synopsys as Chip and Firmware Security Provider

On March 20, Intrinsic ID was acquired by semiconductor expert Synopsys for an undisclosed sum two days afterwards. Intrinsic ID, which is based in the US, provides a Physical Unclonable Function ( PUF) IP for use in system-on-chip ( SOC ) design.

GitLab purchases Oxeye to make the SAST Roadmap faster

Additionally, on March 20, GitLab announced that it would buy Jewish company Oxeye Security, which provides an integrated cloud-native application security testing solution. The agreement should help GitLab advance its Static Application Security Testing ( SAST ) strategy. The economic details were not disclosed.

Infodas versus Atos: Airbus Chooses Infodas

Airbus Defence and Space announced on March 25 that it was acquiring German cybersecurity provider Infodas, a few days after pulling out of the company’s acquisition of Atos Big Data and Security ( BDS ) business. Although the acquisition’s financial details have not been disclosed, Infodas $ 54 million annual revenue may be a significant sum considering the amount.
